Infrared Sauna
Here are some tips in preparation for your Infrared Sauna recovery session:
1. Drink at least 1 litre of water before your sauna and keep well hydrated during your session; Avoid dehydrating drinks such as alcohol and coffee.
2. Remove all make up and anything that clogs your pores to allow sweating; this includes oils and lotions.
3. Wear as little as possible while in the sauna. Appropriate clothing includes underwear, swimwear or something breathable.
4. Remove all jewelry and accessories prior to entering the sauna.
5. Eat energy rich foods before your sauna; eating light foods that provide energy will be helpful. Avoid heavy foods as they require energy to digest and may leave less energy for detoxification.
6. Have a warm shower afterwards.
Overall, Infrared Saunas can assist with detoxification, relaxation and stress relief, improved circulation, pain relief and skin health.
It is recommended to keep your sessions short (30 minutes) with regular breaks as needed; 2 - 3 times per week.
The infrared sauna is a hot space with the capacity to reach 70C.
If you are adversely affected by the heat for any reason, please consult your doctor first.
Please avoid Infrared Saunas if any of the following apply to you:
• Medications – Diuretics, barbiturates, blood thinners and beta-blockers
• Pregnancy – If you are in the early stages of pregnancy (first trimester), you are not permitted to use our sauna.
• Cardiovascular Conditions
• Under the influence of Alcohol
• Chronic Conditions/Diseases associated with reduced ability to sweat or perspire
• Hemophiliacs
• Fever
• Joint Injury
• Implants – Metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any other surgical implants
• Pacemakers/Defibrillators
• Have a scar or injury that is still healing

NormaTec 3 Compression Boots
Some tips in preparation for your 30 minute Compression Boots & Massage Gun recovery session:
1. Be hydrated before and during use which will help to increase circulation.
2. Start with a low pressure setting and gradually increase to allow your muscles time to adjust to the compression.
3. Use in short sessions aiming for 20 - 30 minutes at a time.
4. Use before or after workouts; to increase circulation and reduce muscle fatigue. This can enhance your performance during workouts and aid in recovery afterward.
5. Be guided by the Hypervolt 2 Pro app, which can be set to target specific muscle groups and automatically change intensity based on the area you are massaging.
Overall, the Normatec boots can enhance performance, aid in recovery, and promote relaxation when used properly.
Remember to start with a lower-pressure setting, and use shorter sessions for the best results.
It is recommended to use NormaTec Boots 2 - 3 times per week at 20 - 30 minutes at a time.

While our staff have been trained to know where risks might lie for certain populations, or for certain disorders, it is always recommended to double-check your particular situation with your GP.

1.1 I have read the advisements and contraindications for Infrared Sauna use. I have no conflicts for use as described in the advisements and contraindications, or I have provided a doctor’s release authorising use.
I consent to the Infrared Sauna session and confirm that I am at least 18 years of age.
1.2 I understand that this is not intended to take the place of medical care or medications. I clearly confirm that I have read the advisements and contraindications, and that I do not have any contraindications to the Infrared Sauna. I understand that I take full responsibility for my own health and well-being.
1.3 I understand that the services I am receiving are not intended to treat any medical condition or take the place of medical care or medications. I release Mana Recovery Studio, its employees and technicians from all liability associated with using the Infrared Sauna.
2. Policies on fees & disclosed information
2.1 Appointments rescheduled or cancelled within 24 hours will incur an additional rebooking fee ($15)
2.2 I have disclosed any past or current illness, surgery, previous trauma, medications, drug use and any known health risks upon initial booking.
3. Infrared sauna use agreement
3.1 Discontinue the use of the sauna if you experience any pain and/or discomfort, or feel light-headed, dizzy or heat exhausted.
3.2 Clients are required to sit on a clean towel during their sauna session.
